About Us
Where care feels like family....
The King Edward Care Home has always been, and will always remain, a true family home. Our journey began in the mid-1980s when our parents, Mick and Janet Wheeler, first opened the doors as Warbreck House. With warmth, kindness, and a genuine love for people, they created a place where everyone felt welcome and cared for.
When we sadly lost our parents in 2001, we, David and Sarah, knew we wanted to continue the legacy they had built. To honour their memory and reflect our passion for supporting those living with dementia, we dedicated the home solely to dementia care. In 2002, we renamed it The King Edward Care Home — marking a new chapter while keeping our family values at the heart of everything we do.
Today, we are proud to carry on what our parents started, ensuring our home remains a warm, safe, and loving place where every resident is treated like part of the family.
We look forward to hearing from you ,
